Los Robles (The Oaks) is a single-storey house in the tiny hamlet of Rascadería, in the verdant and mountainous area of natural beauty called Cotobade (Lands of the Abbot), inland from Pontevedra.

It is the last house in the village, where the tarmac road gives way to a mountain track and it sits on a three-tiered landscaped slope, all planted with mature bushes. The backdrop to the house are the oaks which give the place its name.

The house – or bungalow – has the large, landscaped garden of another house to the south (behind some of the oak trees) but on all other sides is open to the countryside. And to views. Its best feature is the bougainvillea-framed front terrace-cum-porch, which faces the setting sun in the west and gives a view of the sea several kilometres away in the distance, over the hills. Not to mention beautiful sunsets. Another lovely feature is the shady spot under the trees to the rear of the house.

The house was built only 12 years ago but in traditional style, with a stone façade. It has both electricity and water.

Accommodation (105m2) comprises a sitting room to the left of the entrance, a dining area to the right, a kitchen, a bathroom with shower and bath, three bedrooms (1 double), and a separate WC and sink. With the bed-settee in the sitting room, it can sleep 5 or 6 people.

The facilities include:-

Washing machine, TV, DVD player, Video player, Selection of films, Iron, Ironing board, Hair dryer, Fans, Kettle, Toaster, Freezer-fridge, Gas cooker/Oven, Microwave, Blender.

There is no phone line but mobile phone coverage is fine both outside and in the sitting room.

All crockery, All cutlery, Pans and cooking utensils, All bed linen, Towels, Beach towels.

The house had its own gate and parking is easy both outside and inside this.

Distances:

Los Robles is located in rural surroundings and will not be for those who need a nearby nightlife. In summer, though, there are any number of local fiestas to choose from.
